The Story: This was Heather’s first guitar. Told by a family member that 19 was “too old to learn how to play the guitar”. She took it as a challenge and has definitely proved them wrong.

This guitar needs a little love which we will be giving at the instrument repair and maintenance workshop.

Goya Guitar

Donated by Heather Cape in Memory of Josh Spearing

The Story from Heather: “This was Josh Spearing’s first guitar. He was a lover of all things music, especially bluegrass and punk. It was on his first guitar that he showed me how to first play which led to buying my first guitar and learning to play. Josh passed away on December 1, 2024. His death has sparked new songwriting in my heart and his legacy will carry on through the instruments donated today.”

This guitar will be receiving some love during the instrument repair and maintenance workshop to ready it to inspire the next lover of music in its tradition.
